What is the NDIS?

The NDIS or National Disability Insurance Scheme, provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial disability.

Its designed to help people get the support they need so their skills and independence improve over time.

Although the NDIS is not a welfare system, it does give all Australians the peace of mine that if they, their child or loved one is born with or acquires a permanent and significant disability, they will get the support they need.

Who can access the NDIS?

The NDIS is only available to:

  • People who live in Australia
  • Australian citizens
